The WASA Board is proud to announce the hiring of our New WASA Technical Director

Dear Coaches and Members,
WASA would like to announce the hiring of Mike Sweeney as a paid Technical Director.  Mike comes to WASA with a great amount of experience as a player and coach.  As a player, Mike played professional soccer in the old North American Soccer League for the Vancouver Whitecaps and San Jose Earthquakes.  He also played indoor soccer for the Cleveland Force.  The highlight of his playing career was in 1986 when he represented Canada in the World Cup in Mexico.  As a coach his experience is just as impressive.  He currently owns the Cleveland Whitecaps which is one of the premier soccer clubs in Ohio.
Thank you,
The WASA Board
